Key responsibilities

Preparing patients for surgery and providing appropriate pre-operative care

Providing safe and effective anaesthetic monitoring

Managing patient recovery and post-operative care

Closely monitoring patients and recognising changes in their condition

Maintaining high standards of surgical asepsis and infection control

Cleaning, preparing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment

Preparing surgical theatres and supporting efficient theatre workflow

Providing compassionate and professional patient care

Working collaboratively with veterinarians and the wider nursing team

About you

Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher

Small animal veterinary nursing experience, preferably with advanced surgical experience

Confident and competent in surgical nursing and anaesthesia

Genuine passion for patient care and animal welfare

Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Can remain calm and effective in a busy hospital environment





Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Motivated to learn and develop clinical skills

Reliable and enthusiastic
