About the role

We are seeking a motivated and positive individuals to join our reception team, who is self-motivated, customer focused and possesses well-developed communication skills to join our reception team at Garran Medical Imaging. This varied role includes a wide range of administrative and patient-facing responsibilities to ensure an efficient and patient-centered Medical Imaging service. The Medical Imaging Receptionist will undertake a range of examination scheduling, patient and healthcare professional queries and general administrative tasks. The role includes participation in a rotating roster including after-hours and occasional weekend duties across multiple sites based in Canberra.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Excellent customer service skills in a quick paced work environment
- Well-developed communication and interpersonalskills both face to face and over the phone
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience within the healthcare industry (desirable)
- Experience/knowledge in Medical Imaging (desirable)




- Experience working with a Radiology Information System (RIS) (desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a diverse team
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage competing demands and pressure in a changing work setting
- Sound organisational, time managementand prioritisation skills
- Highly proficient and accurate data entry skills
- General computer literacy and confidence using various software systems
- Ability to follow instruction, exercise initiativeand problem solve effectively
- Ability and willingness to work across multiple sites as required
- Availability and flexibility to work weekends and public holidays in accordance with roster requirements
- Strong commitment to patient confidentiality, privacy and professional conduct
- Ability to communicate with patients, healthcare professionals and colleagues in a professional, empathetic and respectful manner
- Ability to manage patient enquiries, appointments and competing priorities efficiently
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute to a positive and supportive workplace
- Ability to remain calm, professional and compassionate when dealing with difficult or sensitive situations
- Reliable, punctual and able to adapt to changing operational requirements

Remuneration and hours of work are negotiable and will reflect your skills and experience. Garran Medical Imaging will take a modern view of remuneration with working flexibility and offers leave loading of 17.5%.
