The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well with others, and be willing to learn. You must be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and have a very good understanding of food and all aspects of a kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
- preparing, seasoning and cooking food.
- operating cooking equipment.
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
- storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.




- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
- cleaning food preparation areas.
- plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- train other kitchen staff and apprentices.

Qualifications & Skills

- Trade Qualifications: Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or equivalent) with at least 1 year relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience in high-volume food preparation and a fast-paced customer environment.
- High level of interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
