We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join the TOOTHSAVERS team in Mount Annan, NSW. This position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental practitioners in providing high-quality oral healthcare services. As a Dental Assistant, you will be at the heart of our practice, ensuring smooth clinic operations, maintaining patient comfort, and contributing to a welcoming and professional dental environment. This role is essential to our mission of providing outstanding dental care to our community.

We are looking for Fully Qualified 2 Full time and 2 Casual Dental Assistants

Key responsibilities

- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols and regulations
- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining the operative field
- Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays) under the supervision of qualified dental professionals
- Providing chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns during treatment
- Recording patient information accurately and maintaining detailed clinical notes
- Managing patient scheduling, confirming appointments, and handling patient enquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Preparing patients for treatment and explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety
- Maintaining high standards of clinic cleanliness and organisation
- Processing and managing patient payments and insurance claims




- Supporting the dental team with administrative tasks and general practice management duties

What we're looking for

- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant qualification or equivalent training recognised in Australia
- Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia (or eligibility to register)
- Strong clinical knowledge of dental procedures, infection control practices, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and general computer skills
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 20kg
- A genuine commitment to patient care and satisfaction
- Prior experience in a dental practice is highly desirable
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
