Burkhardt’s Organic is a family-owned bakery that has been serving the Port Macquarie community since 2005. We take pride in our baking, our products and the standards behind everything we do.

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our team at our growing bakery in Port Macquarie

We are seeking someone who is passionate about great coffee, enjoys providing excellent customer service and thrives in a busy café environment.

Availability to work on Sundays is essential, with additional shifts available during the week for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and serving high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages.

- Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.

- Taking customer orders and processing payments through the POS system.

- Assisting with general café duties and basic food preparation.

- Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.

- Restocking supplies and keeping the café clean, organised and presentable.





- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous barista experience, including confidence operating a commercial coffee machine.

- Good knowledge of espresso coffee preparation and milk texturing.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- A positive, friendly and can-do attitude.

- Strong reliability, punctuality and time-management skills.

- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- A willingness to assist with all aspects of café operations.

Essential requirement: Availability to work Sundays. Availability for additional weekday shifts is highly desirable.
