GMB Financial is a Townsville-based financial planning practice run by a local adviser with years of experience in the industry. We're family-focused, community-minded, and proud of the honest, no-nonsense way we work with our clients. We're looking for someone to join us as the first point of contact for our clients and the engine room behind our day-to-day operations.

About the Role

You’ll be the welcoming face and voice of GMB Financial, greeting clients in person and over the phone, and keeping the admin side of the practice running without a hitch. This is a hands-on role with real variety, and real responsibility from day one.

Your Responsibilities

- Welcoming clients in person and managing phone and email enquiries
- Booking and managing appointments and adviser diaries
- Preparing client documents, correspondence and paperwork
- Liaising with insurance companies on applications, underwriting and claims
- Following up with product providers and institutions on client matters
- Maintaining accurate client records and files
- Processing paperwork and tracking client requests through to completion




- General office administration and support for our advisers

What We're Looking For

Above all, we want a people person - someone warm, genuine, and comfortable being the first voice a client hears when they call. Beyond that:

- Initiative - someone who can be shown something once and run with it
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with paperwork and compliance-related documents
- Good computer skills and comfort picking up recent systems
- Reliable, organised and efficient
- A genuine interest in helping people, not just processing tasks
- Previous experience in financial planning, insurance or office administration is a bonus, but not essential. If you've got the right attitude and a sharp eye for detail, we're happy to train you on the rest.
