The Opportunity

Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine SRMO to support Emergency Medicine services in Hunter New England. This role suits Senior Resident Medical Officers with Emergency Medicine experience who want a strong hourly rate, full locum support and a regional lifestyle. Shifts are flexible across weekday, weekend and night rosters, at up to $200 per hour.

Clinical Environment

- Broad clinical exposure, including trauma, cardiac, paediatric and mental health presentations
- Supervised yet autonomous, with senior support available when needed
- Procedural experience encouraged, including airways, lines and resus
- Well-supported departments with strong triage, nursing and consultant structures

Requirements

- AHPRA general registration
- PGY3+ with at least 6 months of Emergency Medicine experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete onboarding and hospital credentialing

Also, if locum work isn’t for you at the moment but you know another doctor who may be interested, we do have a referral program. Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
