An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Security Architect to join a significant Queensland Government digital transformation program.

Working across a complex technology environment, you will provide security architecture leadership across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Databricks, integration services and enterprise data platforms .

This is an influential role for a senior security professional who can balance strong cyber security and governance principles with the practical requirements of delivering large-scale transformation.

The Role Working closely with Enterprise, Solution and Data/AI Architects, you will be responsible for ensuring security, privacy and governance requirements are embedded across solution design and delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading security architecture across cloud, digital, data and integration solutions
- Developing security principles, standards, patterns and reference architectures
- Leading security design reviews, threat modelling and technical risk assessments
- Defining controls across IAM, privileged access, encryption, monitoring, auditing and information protection
- Driving Zero Trust and identity-centric security approaches
- Providing security governance across Azure, M365, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
- Supporting privacy, information classification and secure information-sharing requirements
- Leading security assurance, accreditation, remediation and audit-readiness activities




- Providing trusted security advice to executives, architects, project teams and technology vendors

What We're Looking For

You will be an experienced Security Architect with a strong background operating within complex enterprise or transformation environments.

Ideally, you will bring experience across:

- Microsoft Azure Security Services
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Defender
- Microsoft Purview
- Microsoft 365 Security
- Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Security
- Identity and Access Management
- Zero Trust architecture
- Azure networking and security controls
- Security monitoring and logging
- Threat modelling and security risk assessments
- Cloud security architecture

Exposure to QGEA, IS18, IRAP, ASD Essential Eight and ISO 27001 will be particularly valuable, alongside an understanding of privacy-by-design and information governance requirements.

Experience within Queensland Government, regulatory, law enforcement, justice, health or another highly regulated environment would be highly regarded.
