Senior Azure & Microsoft 365 Cloud Engineer

Support and improve secure Azure and Microsoft 365 environments across a major Australian Government collaboration platform, with a focus on cloud operations, identity, security, endpoint management and automation.

Location: ACT
Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions
Security Clearance Requirement: NV1

Essential Tasks

- Support, manage and improve Microsoft 365 tenancies and related Azure services.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, SSO and MFA.
- Manage Azure infrastructure, networking, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.




- Automate tenant and infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI and IaC tooling.

Key Criteria

- Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 engineering experience across complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Intune.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, DLP, security monitoring and cloud governance.
- Robust understanding of Australian Government security, risk and assurance requirements.
