Are you an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for customer service and team leadership? We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Bar Supervisor to join our team at Coorparoo bowls club.

About the Role

As Bar Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, supervising a team of up to eight staff members and ensuring our members and guests receive friendly, efficient service.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining stock levels, managing cash handling procedures, coordinating event bookings and ensuring the bar operates to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership: Supervise, support and coordinate a team of up to eight bar staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.
- Bar Operations: Oversee daily bar activities, including opening and closing procedures, staff duties and maintaining presentation standards.
- Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct stocktakes, manage ordering and deliveries, and minimise wastage.
- POS Systems: Process transactions and assist with POS reporting. Previous experience with SwiftPOS is desirable.
- Cash Handling: Complete cash counts, balance registers, reconcile takings and report discrepancies in line with club procedures.
- Event Bookings: Coordinate event and function bookings, communicate with organisers and ensure appropriate staffing are available.




- Customer Service: Build positive relationships with members and guests, respond to enquiries and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- RSA and Compliance: Ensure responsible service of alcohol practices are followed and that club procedures and relevant Queensland liquor licensing requirements are met.
- Venue Presentation: Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented bar area, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready for service.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is confident leading a team, takes pride in their work and understands what it takes to run a successful bar.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience in a bar, hospitality or licensed venue environment.
- Experience supervising or coordinating staff.
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with cash handling, register balancing and reconciliations.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An understanding of stock control, ordering and stocktakes.
- The ability to work in a busy environment and manage competing priorities.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Desirable:

Experience using SwiftPOS or a similar point-of-sale system, along with previous experience in a bowls club, sporting club or similar hospitality venue.
