About The Role

The WAVES Surgical Department have an opportunity available for a Senior Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

The position works across a varied specialist surgical caseload, supporting procedures such as TPLOs, hip replacements, spinal decompressions and fracture repairs .

Work with complex specialist surgical cases





Greater clinical involvement in patient care and treatment within a specialist environment

The opportunity to work alongside Dr Eben Martin and an experienced specialist Surgery team

Skills & Experience

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent

Robust surgical and anaesthetic nursing capability

Sound clinical judgement and patient-monitoring skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine interest in specialist surgery and continuing professional development

Previous referral experience would be highly regarded, although an experienced GP nurse with strong surgical and anaesthetic exposure would also be considered.
