Kitchen Hand – Dee Why Hospitality Group

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our team in Dee Why, New South Wales. This temporary, casual role is essential for supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean and efficient environment. The Kitchen Hand will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and contribute to the overall success of our hospitality and catering services.

Responsibilities

- Assist chefs with food preparation and cooking tasks as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards
- Help with stock management, including receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times




- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods

Qualifications

- No formal education required; however, a passion for food and hospitality is essential
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not necessary
- Ability to work in a rapid‑paced environment and under pressure
- Robust communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is preferred
