Foodmach is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing manufacturing team in Echuca. Working from our workshop, you will be involved in the electrical assembly, wiring, testing, fault finding and commissioning of advanced packaging, materials handling and automation systems for some of Australia's leading food, beverage and manufacturing businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for a tradesperson looking to work on complex automation projects rather than repetitive maintenance work. You'll work closely with our engineering, manufacturing and project teams to build state-of-the-art equipment that is deployed across Australia and New Zealand. Occasional travel to customer sites across Australia and overseas is required, including some time away from home.

Key responsibilities

- Electrical assembly and wiring of industrial automation equipment and control systems
- Control panel assembly, wiring and testing
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and manufacturing documentation
- Install and terminate motors, sensors, field devices, VSDs and servo systems
- PLC fault finding and troubleshooting during manufacturing and commissioning activities
- Conduct electrical inspections,



testing and quality checks
- Support machine commissioning and factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- Identify and resolve electrical and automation-related issues
- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and manufacturing personnel
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping

About you

- Current A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, automation or machine building environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment
- Understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, drives and motor control circuits
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
