Position Summary

Dr Baerin Houghton seeks a Locum Respiratory Physician to cover specialist private rooms for two weeks in September 2027.

Our modern specialist practice is

on Highfields Circuit, a short distance from Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

Come and enjoy the idyllic coastal community of Port Macquarie. Locum includes comfortable accommodation for an individual or with family within walking distance of the beach as well as vehicle to explore the surrounding area.

Full on-site lung function laboratory offering:





- Full lung function testing (spirometry, lung volumes and DLCO)
- Mannitol bronchial challenge testing
- Respiratory muscle strength testing (MIP/MEP)
- Six-minute walk testing
- Overnight oximetry
- On-site sleep study laboratory.

Responsibilities

- Private rooms cover for a respiratory physician on 6-17 September 2027
- Consulting respiratory patients in an established practice with in-house lung function lab and diagnostic support

Requirements

- FRACP (Respiratory Medicine) or equivalent
- Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Medicare provider number
