Cadia is a major gold and copper mining operation in central New South Wales, about 25 kilometres from the city of Orange and 250 kilometres west of Sydney. The site is known for the Cadia East underground mine - one of the world's largest gold deposits - which uses innovative block caving methods to produce gold doré and gold-rich copper concentrate. Your Impact

As Lead Social Performance, you'll provide leadership for Social Performance programs at Cadia, protecting the operation's social licence and managing social risk. You'll lead the execution of Cadia's , stakeholder engagement plan and deliver community outcomes, while supporting engagement associated with future project approvals

As Part Of Our Team, You Will

- Lead, support and develop the Social Performance team, fostering a positive culture and enabling the successful delivery of project and operational plans.
- Own Cadia's Social Performance risk profile, including the identification, mitigation and escalation of material community and stakeholder risks.
- Oversee the execution of Cadia's Social Performance objectives, stakeholder map and engagement plan.
- Interface with local government, community groups, Traditional Owner representatives and other key stakeholders.
- Govern Social Performance programs, assurance activities and resources while supporting stakeholder engagement for site and project approvals aligned to Newmont Values and Standards.

Prerequisites for Success in This Role

- Demonstrated experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, with the ability to foster an inclusive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
- Senior experience in Social Performance, Community Relations, Communications, Sustainability or External Relations within mining, resources or another complex heavy-industry environment.
