The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, motivated individual to join a growing construction business in Melbourne's inner suburbs.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will build practical experience in a hands on accounts and administration role, supporting residential and commercial projects.

The role would suit a recent graduate looking for their first accounts role, or someone with administration or data entry experience who is keen to move into finance.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox, processing supplier invoices and following up outstanding invoices and queries
- Setting up jobs and new suppliers, and preparing supplier credit applications
- Raising and emailing client invoices against the correct jobs and supporting information
- Receipting customer payments, allocating them to the correct accounts and invoices, and investigating discrepancies




- Maintaining accurate financial records, managing incoming documentation and escalating errors promptly
- Providing general finance and administrative support as required

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

- Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or finance administration is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining accurate records
- Confidence using systems and working with numbers
- Valuable organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to following up queries and resolving discrepancies, along with a willingness to learn
