Ingleburn Family Practice is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team 2 days/week. This is a vital front-line position based in Ingleburn, NSW 2565, where you will be the first point of contact for our patients and an essential member of our medical administration team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our practice operates smoothly, maintaining a welcoming workplace, and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role is fundamental to creating positive patient experiences and managing the administrative flow of our healthcare facility.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting patients with professionalism and courtesy, making a positive first impression
- Managing patient check-ins and check-outs, including verifying personal and billing information
- Scheduling appointments and managing the booking system efficiently to minimise patient wait times
- Answering incoming calls and managing enquires
- Managing emails and incoming faxes




- Processing patient payments and handling financial transactions accurately
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy legislation when handling patient information
- Maintaining a clean and organised practice
- Supporting the medical team with general administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

- Reliability and ability to learn quickly
- A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Computer proficiency: Email management, Use of general computer applications e.g.Microsoft word
- Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administration role
- Proficiency in using Best Practice medical practice management software
