Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Automotive Electrical Apprentice to join one of our established host employers in Welshpool, WA.

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your apprenticeship in a professional automotive electrical workshop, working alongside qualified auto electricians while gaining practical experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicle electrical systems.

You'll work towards completing your AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology, developing the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Automotive Electrician.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside qualified automotive electricians,



you'll develop your skills in:

- Diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical faults.

- Installing, testing and maintaining electrical wiring and components.

- Working with batteries, alternators, starter motors and charging systems.

- Assisting with the installation of electrical accessories and equipment.

- Learning to use diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.

- Reading and interpreting automotive wiring diagrams.

- Testing and repairing vehicle lighting and electrical systems.

- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

- Following workplace health and safety procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who has a genuine interest in automotive electrical systems and is eager to develop their skills through a full-time apprenticeship.

To be considered, you must have:

- A genuine interest in automotive electrical technology and the automotive industry.

- A current P1 driver's licence or higher.

- A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.

- Positive attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- A reliable attitude and strong work ethic.

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- An interest in understanding how vehicle electrical systems operate.

Highly Regarded:





- Completion of a Certificate II in Automotive.

- Previous work experience in an automotive or electrical workshop.

- Basic knowledge of automotive electrical components, tools or equipment.

- An interest in working on vehicles and understanding electrical fault diagnosis.
