About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our team in the Adelaide CBD. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic accounting firm. You will play a key role in delivering comprehensive accounting and advisory services to our valued clients, providing strategic support and technical expertise across a range of business matters.

This position is integral to our growth strategy and will allow you to make a meaningful impact on client outcomes whilst building your qualified reputation.

Candidates with Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) experience will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns and accounting records for clients
- Conducting financial analysis and producing reports for clients
- Assisting with taxation compliance and planning strategies
- Supporting clients with business advisory matters and financial guidance
- Liaising with clients to understand their business needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Managing multiple client engagements and ensuring timely delivery of work
- Contributing to the development and improvement of internal processes and procedures
- Maintaining professional standards and adhering to relevant accounting and ethical guidelines
- For Senior Accountant level: mentoring and supervising junior staff members as required

What we are looking for To succeed in this role, you should possess:





- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance (or equivalent professional experience)
- Membership or progress towards membership of a professional accounting body (CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience in accounting, bookkeeping, taxation or related areas (minimum 2-3 years for Accountant level; 5+ years for Senior Accountant level)
- Robust proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and solid analytical skills
- Solid understanding of taxation and financial reporting requirements in Australia
- Professional communication skills and the ability to build effective client relationships
- Time management abilities and capacity to prioritise multiple tasks
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning
- For Senior Accountant level: demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing staff or complex client engagements
