Job Description:

Must Have Skills:

- You will be a technical security SME that educates and equips application teams with the latest tools, techniques, and methodologies to protect against runtime application threats, such as vulnerability exploitation and distributed denial of service (DDOS).




- You will improve the security resilience of applications by defining technical standards and reporting compliance to application protection controls.
- You will provide technical advice and recommendations about runtime application security controls including rate limiting, web application firewalls (WAF) and content caching (e.g. CDN).
- You will deliver application security practices at scale to improve security posture and resilience over time.

Good to Have Skills:

- In-depth technical knowledge of security threats targeting web applications in runtime, especially distributed denial of service and vulnerability exploitation.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Akamai application security suite, or similar web application security technology.
- Experience delivering technical security recommendations including web application security design and configuration.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams and service providers to deliver application security improvements.
- In-depth technical knowledge of a variety of web application technologies including multi tier monoliths, single page applications, microservices, serverless and container-based workloads.
- In-depth technical knowledge of application caching and content delivery with aim of improving security resilience and optimizing performance.




- Experience analyzing and interpreting security and application logs and telemetry.
- Experience producing reports and analysis to technical and security management.
- Experience and willingness to learn and jump into the deep end of technical problems.
- Experience in software development and DevOps technologies.
- Experience in delivering security education training targeted at developers and application teams.
- Experience using application security assessment tools such as Snyk and Fortify.
- Experience in application security practices such as threat modelling, secure code reviews, vulnerability management and security testing.
