? We're hiring: AI & Automation Specialist | Melbourne | Full-time

Do you spend your evenings experimenting with ChatGPT, Claude or the latest AI tool? Have you built a dashboard, automated a workflow or used AI to solve a real problem - just because you could?

If so, we want to meet you.

UGT is creating a brand-new role for a curious, tech-savvy graduate or early-career person to become our go-to for AI and automation across the business.

? About UGT

Since 1988, UGT has grown into one of Australia's leading suppliers of Home & Lifestyle products, partnering with many of the largest national retailers across Australia and New Zealand. Our vision is simple: to be the Ultimate GO TO Home & Lifestyle Product Partner - and AI is a big part of how we'll get there.

? What you'll do

This isn't IT support. It's using AI to make a real business smarter, faster and more effective. One day you could be:

· Building a sales, margin or inventory dashboard

· Creating a market research or competitor analysis tool

· Designing standout customer presentations and product concepts with AI

· Automating a repetitive process that frees up hours every week

· Training and supporting our team across Sales, Product, Design, Sourcing, Finance and Supply Chain

You'll work directly with our leadership team and see your work used in a live business — straight away.

✅ About you

· Genuinely passionate about AI - ChatGPT, Claude and whatever's next

· You've built things: dashboards, automations, presentations, apps or AI assistants

· Confident with Excel and PowerPoint, and quick to pick up recent software

· Bonus points for Power BI, Python, APIs, AI agents, Make, Zapier or Power Automate

· A recent grad, finishing your studies, or early in a tech career — what you can do matters more than the degree

? Why UGT?

· A newly created function with huge room to grow

· Broad exposure to senior management and every part of the business

· Freedom to experiment, explore new tech and bring fresh ideas

· Real variety — from retail research and creative design to data and automation

· Competitive package based on your skills and experience

? How to apply

Email your CV and a short intro on why you love AI and automation to [email protected]

And here's the important part: show us 2–3 examples of something you've built or improved using AI. A dashboard, a workflow, a deck, an app - anything. We'd much rather see what you can create than read a list of tools.
