Council is seeking a motivated and hands-on Parks & Gardens Officer to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you'll help maintain and enhance our parks, gardens, streetscapes and public open spaces, ensuring they remain safe, attractive and enjoyable for the community.

In This Role You Will:

- Maintain parks, gardens, open spaces and streetscapes to Council standards.
- Undertake horticultural and landscaping activities, including planting, pruning, watering and turf maintenance.
- Operate and maintain plant, equipment, tools and vehicles.
- Assist with the upkeep of trees, irrigation systems and park infrastructure.
- Identify and report hazards, defects and maintenance issues.
- Contribute to beautification projects and seasonal work programs.

About You

You will bring:

- Experience in parks and gardens, horticulture, landscaping or open space maintenance.
- The ability to safely operate relevant plant and equipment.




- A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and a current Victorian Driver Licence.
- Certificate III in Parks & Gardens, Horticulture or a related field.
- Construction Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain.
- Experience operating parks and gardens maintenance equipment.
