We have an exciting opportunity for a Bushland Officer to join our innovative Biodiversity Team.

This role is fundamental in protecting, enhancing and celebrating the sites of biological significance within the Knox municipality. In addition, this role will increase the appreciation and understanding of biodiversity values within the organisation and the broader community. You will also participate in biodiversity community events and activities.

This role is based at Civic Centre, and is a Band 4 classified role. Remuneration will be $76,469.33 gross per annum, plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Understanding of biodiversity in the urban workplace.
- Demonstrated experience and/or understanding in contemporary natural resource management work is preferred.
- Ability to apply contemporary bushland management techniques.
- Knowledge and understanding of OH&S; obligations, policies and practices.




- Communicate openly in a explicit and informative manner appropriate to the audience and situation
- A minimum of Certificate 3 in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent, or in the fields of Biodiversity or environmental science.
