I’m currently recruiting on behalf of an established, proudly Australian-owned waste and resource recovery business with a strong presence in Sydney and ambitious plans to expand its footprint across Queensland.
The business works with a wide range of customers across sectors including retail, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, property and government.
About the Role:
As the Business Development Manager for QLD, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing and winning new business opportunities across the waste and recycling sector.
You’ll be involved in prospecting, cold calling, in person meetings, networking, tender opportunities and working closely with potential customers to understand their needs and develop the right solution.
You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own pipeline and will be expected to actively pursue new business rather than waiting for opportunities to come to you.
What We're Looking For:
I’m looking for someone who has a strong background in the waste and recycling industry or alternatively comes from a B2B manufacturing or industrial sales setting.
You’ll be driven, confident and commercially minded,
with a genuine ability to build relationships and open doors with new customers.
You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience in business development or B2B sales.
- Experience within waste, recycling, manufacturing or a related industrial environment.
- A strong track record of generating new business.
- Confidence with cold calling, prospecting and face-to-face sales.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- The drive and resilience to work towards ambitious sales targets.
- The ability to manage your own pipeline and work autonomously.
- A practical and consultative approach to understanding customer needs.

- $100K – $110K + Super
