About the role

This is a full-time position based in Caloundra, combining approximately three days of office-based planning and administration with up to two days of onsite market management and event supervision each week, depending on the event calendar and the ability of the market delivery team. Sunday is a regular working day, supervising the Caloundra Street Fair. The role also requires flexibility for Friday evening Twilight Markets and occasional additional events.

With a well-trained casual team, there may be opportunities for occasional Sunday off subject to the strength of the casual team. Reporting to Caloundra Chamber of Commerce Management, you will focus on the day-to-day operations of our markets, supported by casual event staff and the wider Chamber team for additional marketing and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate and supervise the Caloundra Street Fair and three monthly Twilight Markets.
- Manage event setup, bump-in, operations, bump-out and pack-down.
- Plan market layouts, site maps, vendor allocations and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate contractors and suppliers, including traffic management, waste services, power, lighting and entertainment.
- Ensure markets run safely, efficiently, on time and within operational budgets.
- Lead, roster, onboard and supervise casual market staff.
- Manage stallholder enquiries, applications, bookings and site allocations through digital booking platform.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, insurance documentation, invoicing and payment follow-up.
- Coordinate event permits, risk assessments, insurance requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Monitor market budgets, staffing costs and revenue performance.

About you

- Experience in event operations, markets, exhibitions,



hospitality management or a similar environment.
- Proven ability to supervise staff, manage rosters and confidently delegate tasks.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, robust ability to provide clear direction to staff and market vendors.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence using digital booking systems, Microsoft Office and other business platforms.
- Good spatial awareness and the ability to interpret and develop event site layouts.
- An understanding of event safety, risk management, permits and compliance.
- Strong customer service skills and the confidence to manage difficult conversations professionally.
- Current driver's licence.
- Availability to work Sundays (6 – 2pm), occasional Friday evenings and other scheduled events.
