As a Transaction Liability Underwriter, it’s pivotal that you can review the legal, tax, financial and other risks associated with a corporate transaction in a wide array of sectors. You will be successfully quoting, project-managing and underwriting representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with M&A; transactions, and your commercial experience will help you to build strong relationships with lawyers, bankers and brokers

About the role
- Quote, project manage and underwrite representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with M&A; transactions.
- Structure and negotiate bespoke insurance policies with lawyers and brokers domestically and abroad.
- Win new business and build strong working relationships with key lawyers, bankers, and brokers, as well as proactively seeking out opportunities to drive new business within TL.
- Effectively assess and price risks considering factors such as business sector, deal structure,



jurisdiction and indemnification obligations in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Build and develop positive working relationships with brokers, clients, lawyers and other key stakeholders involved in the M&A; process.
- Work with the [TL/PL] and Marketing team to contribute to as required to TL marketing content, materials, campaigns, and assisting with relevant communications as required.
- Attend relevant meetings, networking, and hosted events to build a strong broker network.
- Identify and highlight cross sell opportunities considering CFC’s other lines of business
- Help ensure that underwriting policies, processes, and guidelines are adhered to by junior and current team members, to meet all compliance, regulatory and binder requirements.
- Identify development needs in the team, and provide coaching, buddying, and technical training to more junior and new team members. About you
- In this new role we are looking to hire an innovative, motivated M&A; professional with a strong interest in business and commerce, a commercial approach to risk assessment and sharp decision-making skills.
- You will build strong relationships with lawyers, bankers and brokers
