A full-time prospect for an Italian Cook to work in one of Brisbane’s leading Italian restaurants and hospitality groups - Pizzantica, at the Antica Restaurant in Wilston, Queensland. No travel is involved with this position.

A minimum of 5 years cooking experience in a traditional Italian restaurant is required. Italian trained and work experience will be highly regarded and preferred.

Good communication skills in English required

Offering a competitive salary, that will be negotiated based on skills and experience with a 6monthly performance based review and bonus. The business operates under the Australian Restaurant Award The intent is to fill the position in Dec 2026.

Key areas of responsibility:

o Food Quality and Presentation of dishes to guests (KPI driven)



ensuring cooking and recipe adherence o Compliance to Stock Management and Ordering Procedures o Compliance to Cleaning Schedule and Routine Maintenance requirement o Compliance to Food Safety procedures and requirements o Forecast food requirements effectively o Weekly Food Preparation - planning and execution o Quality control of food preparation process and outcomes o Ensure a safe work environment

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

o Stock Manage – Ensuring stocktake is done accurately, Stock managed by FIFO principle, Stock Ordering and Receipting.

o Food Safety and OHS Regulations o Italian Cuisine food preparation techniques and knowhow o Ability to identify and resolve issues early and quickly with strong attention to detail and quality o Sound people skills and food production coordination experience o Minimum of 5 years’ experience cooking in an Italian kitchen/restaurant o Strong knowledge and experience in all aspects of Pizza section management – dough production and management and pizza preparation and cooking
