Creative Strategist | Performance Marketing Agency | Melbourne (Hybrid)

About the business A Melbourne-based performance marketing agency working with high-value service businesses across solar, construction, legal and skilled services. Hybrid setup with three days a week in the office and the rest remote.

The role

This is a full-funnel creative and strategy role. You’ll own creative direction, Meta ad performance and funnel strategy across a portfolio of 20 to 25 service business clients. You think in angles before formats, you know why an ad stops the scroll and what makes a landing page convert, and you can read account data and turn it into a creative decision.

What you’ll be doing

- Building full-funnel creative strategies, messaging angles and testing roadmaps across your client portfolio
- Managing Meta ad accounts day to day and making optimisation calls before issues reach the client
- Briefing and guiding UGC agencies, videographers and designers across short-form video, statics and concept-led formats
- Writing ad copy across hooks, scripts, headlines and CTAs
- Running structured creative tests across hooks,



AI UGC, static tiles and direct response video
- Spotting and fixing funnel friction from ad to landing page to CRM
- Running competitor research through Meta Ad Library, YouTube and TikTok and turning it into client recommendations
- Leading weekly client calls and working with the web team on landing page and CRO improvements

What you’ll bring

- 2 to 5+ years in a performance marketing agency or performance creative role
- Hands-on Meta Ads experience across strategy and execution
- Experience concepting and overseeing UGC, short-form video and static creative
- Strong direct response copywriting
- A solid understanding of CRO, landing pages and full-funnel strategy
- Confidence leading client conversations and presenting recommendations
- A track record managing multiple SME accounts at once and moving quickly without needing handholding
