About the role

RECOR is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Draftsperson to join the engineering team. As a Design Draftsperson, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans that adhere to industry standards and project specifications.

Your role will play a crucial part in the design process, ensuring effective communication between engineers, architects, and contractors. You will be working on a unique blend of exciting projects across the new energy, commercial, industrial, residential, and retail sectors, both across Queensland and Australia wide.

Key responsibilities

- Create accurate technical drawings and plans that adhere to industry standards and project specifications
- Ensure effective communication between engineers, architects, and contractors through design documentation
- Review and stamp shop fabricator's drawings
- Manage document control
- Consider budgetary constraints and project size to find the most efficient way to document something without sacrificing quality
- Estimate time to complete projects and plan time to meet deadlines
- Help build and evolve standard drawing suite

About you

- Design or drafting experience for a Structural Engineering consultancy or related field
- Understanding of drafting principles
- Proficient in either Autocad or Revit




- Experience using Bluebeam or 12dS software is an advantage
- Understanding of engineering drawings and construction details
- Versatile with additional skills or willing to learn
- Strong ability to time manage and meet deadlines
