HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced Workforce Data Analytics and Strategic Workforce Planning professionals for two exciting opportunities within a large Federal Government agency.

These positions offer the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide workforce strategies, deliver meaningful workforce insights and support evidence-based decision-making across a complex national organisation.

The Opportunities

1. EL1 – Workforce Data Analyst / Specialist

As the Workforce Data Analyst / Specialist, you will transform complex workforce, financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support strategic workforce planning and organisational decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

- Gathering, validating and analysing workforce, financial and operational data.
- Developing workforce reports, dashboards and visualisations to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Undertaking workforce scenario analysis to support future workforce requirements.
- Maintaining reliable datasets, analytical products and reporting processes.
- Identifying data quality issues, evidence gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Providing clear, evidence-based insights to support workforce planning and decision-making.

2. EL2 – Senior Enterprise Workforce Planning Specialist

As the Senior Enterprise Workforce Planning Specialist, you will lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide workforce planning frameworks, strategies and capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading enterprise workforce planning initiatives across a complex organisation.
- Integrating workforce demand, supply, cost and funding information into strategic planning.
- Developing workforce scenarios and assessing future capability requirements.
- Providing strategic advice to senior leaders on workforce risks, opportunities and planning decisions.
- Establishing workforce planning methodologies, governance arrangements and practical planning tools.
- Embedding sustainable,



evidence-based workforce planning practices across the organisation.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Strategic workforce planning, workforce analytics or organisational capability planning.
- Workforce data analysis, reporting, modelling and visualisation.
- Workforce demand and supply forecasting and scenario planning.
- Integrating financial, operational and workforce information to support strategic decisions.
- Developing workforce planning frameworks, methodologies and reporting processes.
- Translating complex information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Working within complex government, corporate or large-scale organisational environments.

For the EL1 chance, we are seeking candidates with strong analytical capability, data management experience and the ability to deliver meaningful workforce insights.

For the EL2 opportunity, we are seeking experienced strategic workforce planning professionals who can lead enterprise-wide initiatives, influence senior stakeholders and establish sustainable workforce planning capabilities.
