About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Special Class Electrician to join our team, supporting the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of lifts, escalators and associated equipment. You’ll work across new builds, refurbishments and modernisation projects, ensuring all electrical works are completed safely and in accordance with technical specifications and relevant standards.

Working closely with fitters, site managers and other trades, you’ll play an significant role in delivering reliable, high-quality installations while maintaining strict electrical safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out electrical installation, wiring and connection work for lifts,



escalators and associated equipment.
- Install, inspect and test electrical components in accordance with technical drawings, manufacturer specifications and applicable electrical standards.
- Diagnose electrical faults and assist with troubleshooting, repairs and commissioning activities.
- Ensure electrical systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Work closely with fitters, engineers, site managers and other trades to coordinate installation activities.
- Comply with all relevant electrical safety requirements, workplace health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, testing and any identified defects.

About You You are a qualified and safety-focused electrician with strong technical knowledge and a hands-on approach to electrical installation and troubleshooting. You take pride in delivering quality workmanship, following safety standards and working collaboratively with a team on site.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Electrical Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- A valid Driver’s Licence.
- A current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Experience in electrical installation, fault-finding and testing.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to electrical safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
