FC Glass & Aluminium is a well-established commercial glazing and aluminium fabrication business based in Newcastle. We work on high-quality commercial projects across NSW and are looking for an Estimator to join our team.

We’re open to a range of experience levels. You may be newly qualified and ready to build your estimating career, or an experienced estimator looking for your next opportunity. What’s most important to us is finding the right person with strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and an interest in working within the commercial construction industry.

The role includes:

- Preparing accurate and competitive tenders for commercial glazing and aluminium projects
- Reviewing architectural plans, specifications and tender documentation
- Preparing estimates using V6 estimating software
- Identifying project requirements, inclusions, exclusions and potential risks
- Raising RFIs and obtaining clarification where required
- Liaising with builders, suppliers and client teams to obtain pricing and project information
- Working closely with our management, estimating and project teams as projects progress from tender through to delivery
- Contributing to the continual improvement of our estimating processes and systems

About you:

- Estimating experience or relevant qualifications within construction or a related field
- Experience within commercial construction, glazing,



aluminium or façades would be highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications and tender documentation
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach and strong work ethic
- Ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competent with Microsoft Office and general computer-based systems
- Experience using V6 or similar estimating software would be advantageous
