Ethics Program Leader The opportunity

At EY, the Risk Management function is responsible for protecting and building the EY brand, increasing client confidence and enhancing the success of our partners and people.

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate person to join our growing Risk Management team as the Ethics Program Leader. In this role, you will play a key leadership role in the ongoing operation of EY Oceania's ethics and conduct programs. The role provides coordination and oversight of ethics hotline, conduct reporting and whistleblower matters, supports investigations and follow-up activities, and assists in the delivery of communications, learning, reporting and governance activities that reinforce the EY Global Code of Conduct.

The role works closely with key stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership and GCO, to support the consistent management of reported concerns, monitor remediation activities and contribute to initiatives that promote ethical conduct and awareness across the organisation.

This is a hybrid position and can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia or New Zealand. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end operation of EY Oceania’s ethics reporting channels, including the assessment, triage and allocation of Ethics Hotline and whistleblower matters, and oversee timely investigations, agreed outcomes, remediation and follow-up actions through to closure.
- Lead the ongoing implementation and continuous improvement of EY Oceania’s ethics program by translating the EY Global Code of Conduct into practical guidance, resources, communications, learning and awareness initiatives aligned with organisational and global priorities.
- Deliver clear and timely reporting and briefings to senior leadership,

analyse case and program data to identify trends and emerging risks, oversee relevant regulatory and disclosure responses, and maintain fit-for-purpose ethics policies, procedures and governance documentation.

Skills and attributes for success

- Demonstrated experience in ethics, compliance, investigations, employee relations, legal, governance, quality improvement, risk management or a related field, ideally within qualified services or another regulated environment.
- Sound judgement, integrity and discretion when managing sensitive and confidential matters, with the ability to balance commerciality, best-practice principles and risk mitigation in a complex, fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving capability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively, independently and collaboratively with senior leaders and challenging stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

- Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in risk management, human resources, law, psychology, business or a related field, together with 10+ years’ experience in related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, capability uplift and contributions to team culture.
- Experience leading strategic initiatives and operational improvement programs, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
