As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Quilting Machinist to join our manufacturing team in a full-time position at our Clontarf factory.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be operating industrial quilting machinery to manufacture high-quality quilted mattress panels and components used across our range of mattresses and bedding products.

This is a hands-on production role requiring technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistent quality standards.

You'll work alongside our experienced manufacturing team while also being responsible for managing your own allocated tasks and production requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

- Operating industrial quilting machinery to produce mattress panels and other quilted bedding components
- Setting up and adjusting quilting machines for different fabrics, patterns and product specifications
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to ensure consistent quilting quality
- Preparing and handling fabrics, foam and other materials used in the quilting process
- Following production specifications, measurements and quilting patterns
- Conducting quality checks to ensure finished panels meet our workmanship standards




- Identifying and troubleshooting minor machinery issues
- Performing routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
- Working efficiently to meet production requirements and deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace
- Assisting with other mattress production tasks when required

About You We're looking for someone who is experienced, dependable and takes pride in producing quality work.

Previous industrial quilting machine experience is highly preferred, particularly within mattress or bedding manufacturing. We are seeking someone who understands the quilting process and can confidently operate production machinery with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have previous experience operating industrial quilting machinery
- Have a good understanding of quilting patterns, materials and production processes
- Be confident setting up, adjusting and operating manufacturing equipment
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Be mechanically minded with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Be reliable, organised and able to manage their workload effectively
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Be able to work efficiently while maintaining high production standards
- Take pride in their work and have a practical, can-do attitude

Experience That Would Be a Bonus The following skills and experience would be highly regarded but are not essential:





- Previous experience operating mattress quilting machinery
- Experience with computerised or multi-needle quilting machines
- Knowledge of mattress manufacturing processes and materials
- Industrial sewing or tape edging experience
- Experience with machine setup, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Previous experience in a mattress or bedding manufacturing environment
- Team leadership or supervisory experience

Hours & Career Opportunities This is a full-time position based at our manufacturing facility in Clontarf, on Brisbane's northside.
