About the role The Farm Hand carries out scheduled operational activities across the Farms within established timeframes and quality standards to achieve the desired yield.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out a variety of general Farm duties during both harvest and non-harvest periods including spraying, weeding, slashing, pruning, mulching, thinning, cleaning, fruit packing, packhouse duties

- Operate tractors, tractor drawn machinery and other machinery, equipment, tools and relevant implements assigned to the tasks

- Hold appropriate licences and certificates to perform specific tasks, operate farm machinery and equipment

- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects and report identified defects and errors to the manager immediately

- Mix chemicals and apply pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer to the crop

- Strictly adhere to the established traffic management policies and procedures when driving vehicles on the Farm





- Attend internal and external training programs, toolbox talks and internal meetings

- Complete all daily records and submit in a timely basis

- Support, guide and advise new and casual Farm staff and labour hire workers where directed

- Carry out all duties in a protected manner and report all hazards, incidents and injuries to your manager as soon as practicable

About you

- Australian Driver's Licence (essential)

- Chemical Handling Certificate (essential)

- Previous Farm industry experience (essential)

- Previous experience in a similar role (essential)

- Forklift Operators Licence (desirable)

- Horticulture certificate (desirable)

- Tree crop husbandry

- Irrigation Management

- Pest and Weed Control

- Positive and self-motivated approach
