Trillion Trees Australia

Hazelmere

Trillion Trees Australia is a long-standing not-for-profit organisation dedicated to healing landscapes and connecting communities through our love of trees. Over the past 45 years, we have planted more than 16 million trees across Perth and the Wheatbelt. Every week we welcome 120 regular volunteers who power our community nursery as we propagate close to 200,000 native trees and plants.

We are in an exciting period of transformation, with a focus on becoming a sustainable, self-funding organisation through revenue-generating activities, nursery sales, sponsorships and fundraising.

Our small staff team is passionate, collaborative and adaptable, working together to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the environment. We are seeking a positive and collaborative Finance Manager to provide comprehensive financial management, reporting and analysis to support the organisation's continued growth and sustainability.

This senior, hands-on position is the sole finance role within the organisation, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the leadership team to support sound financial decision-making, strong governance and the achievement of our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities· Financial Management - Responsible for recording all financial transactions and providing reports to the CEO, Treasurer and Board. Tasks include banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end processing, Board reporting, BAS, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, preparation of year-end financial statements, payroll and grant acquittals.

· Systems & Compliance - Manages inventory and invoicing processes using the Nursery stock software and ensures compliance with Fair Work, superannuation, ATO and not-for-profit reporting requirements, including grant reporting and acquittal obligations.

· People & Administration - Undertakes HR administration, including employment contracts, onboarding, policies and staff records, assists with IT systems and software access, and provides basic technical troubleshooting.

You have excellent time management and organisational skills, can prioritise competing demands and work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
