Are You Looking To Take Your First Step Into Financial Planning?
Due to their continued growth (and ever-increasing workload) this established Newcastle CBD based Wealth Management firm feels it is a perfect time for them to take on a new Graduate Financial Planner/Financial Planning Assistant with the view to providing a career journey that is unlikely to be matched by any other local Wealth Management business.
Boasting a strong presence in the local market, our client has identified the need to attract an energetic, enthusiastic and “switched on” Graduate whom is eager to make a start in Wealth Management. The main goal is to provide you with great training and experience that sets you up for a successful long-term career. It is all part of their succession plan.
Along with continually developing your technical skills within a solid training and development structure, you will also be provided with the opportunity to enhance your knowledge by working closely with the entire team, thus benefiting from their experiences. Along with providing support to the team, you will “shadow” the advisors when they meet with clients, thus experiencing the right way to provide quality service and suitable solutions. This process will provide you with some amazing foundation skills at the infancy of your career.
What This Firm Is Looking For?
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have completed or be close to completing a Commerce, Business, Economics or Finance degree in Australia.
You will also need to possess excellent verbal communication skills as you will be dealing directly with clients. A true eagerness for a career in Wealth Management is essential.
Whilst at uni, you have worked in a retail or hospitality role. Great, this will have assisted your ability to communicate with clients.
The key thing to remember is that this is an "entry level" role. It is going to take some time for you to develop the skills and experiences to be "ready" to take on your own client base. This firm are realistic in their approach and will be transparent with timings and the additional qualifications you will need to obtain. You might want to call this role as the ultimate development position.
What You Need To Do Now If You Are Interested?
Along with sending me your cv, when applying please include a cover letter incorporating a paragraph or two on why you would like a career in Wealth Management. This is important as applicants who do not complete this may not be considered.
So, if this environment sounds interesting to you and you believe you are a self-starter who may enjoy working within an established and prospering Wealth Management organisation, then this role is worth considering.
A competitive salary package will be made available to the successful applicant. This will be discussed at interview.
