We're now looking for a proactive, approachable and organised HR Advisor to take ownership of our day-to-day HR activities and continue building on this progress.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll be responsible for supporting our employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys variety, working independently and making a genuine difference in a small business.

With established HR systems, policies and processes already in place, you'll be well positioned to step in, take ownership and continue strengthening our people practices.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Manage recruitment, job advertisements, interviews and reference checks.
- Prepare employment contracts, offers and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate employee inductions, probation reviews and offboarding.
- Support managers with recruitment and workforce requirements.

HR Operations & Compliance

- Maintain employee records and administer Employment Hero.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards and company policies.
- Manage HR documentation, employee changes and leave administration.
- Maintain and improve existing HR policies, procedures and processes.

Employee Relations & Performance

- Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers.
- Support probation reviews, performance management and employee development.




- Assist with employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
- Promote fair, consistent and confidential people practices.

Culture & Employee Engagement

- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives.
- Coordinate training and leadership development activities.
- Promote Guardian's values and a positive workplace culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.

About You

We're looking for someone who is confident, personable, highly organised and comfortable taking ownership of their work. Ideally, you'll bring:
- 2–4 years' experience in a generalist HR, HR Coordinator or HR Advisor role.
- A sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, Contemporary Awards and Fair Work requirements.
- Experience managing recruitment, onboarding and HR administration.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
- Experience with Employment Hero or a similar HRIS (highly regarded).
- Relevant HR qualifications (desirable).

- $45–$50 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience.
- Permanent part-time position – 25 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–2:00 pm – consistent, family-friendly hours.
