What role will you play?

As part of a high performing and supportive team, you will provide advice on a diverse and global caseload of litigation and investigation matters across Macquarie Group to a wide range of senior stakeholders ranging from lawyers in Macquarie’s businesses, to compliance, risk, technology, employee relations and security professionals.

Your Work Will Include

- Formulation and execution of litigation strategy;
- Identify and evaluate evidence, including conducting witness interviews and overseeing eDiscovery reviews;
- Preparation and presentation of investigation reports;
- Management of external counsel teams;
- The design and implementation of frameworks that improve the conduct of contentious matters across Macquarie, and related reporting and training activities.

What You Offer

- This role is best suited to lawyers with between 5 to 7 years' PQE in private practice (ideally top-tier) advising on complex disputes for highly regulated clients, including financial institutions.
- Significant experience of investigations or enforcement proceedings involving one or more Australian financial regulators e.g. ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, ACCC.
- Strengths in prioritisation and project management, creative problem-solving, and legal AI proficiency.
- Ability to run matters autonomously, excel under pressure and build trust with stakeholders.
