About the role

Suncoast Fencing is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on a full-time basis in Woombye, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial machinery used in the production of fencing products. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to the quality of products we deliver to our customers.

This position offers the opportunity to work with modern equipment whilst developing your technical expertise in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

- Operating industrial machinery to produce fencing products according to specified standards and production schedules

- Setting up machines with appropriate tools, materials and specifications before production runs commence

- Monitoring machine performance and adjusting settings to ensure consistent product quality and output

- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating and inspecting machinery to prevent breakdowns

- Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or defects to supervisors and maintenance teams

- Adhering to strict health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment

- Keeping accurate records of production output, machine downtime and material usage

- Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily and weekly production targets

- Following quality control procedures and inspecting products for defects during and after production

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role, preferably within fencing, metalwork or related industries

- Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical drawings and specifications

- Proficiency in operating industrial machinery and equipment with the ability to troubleshoot common issues





- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing environments

- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards

- Ability to work efficiently to meet production deadlines and targets

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve standing for extended periods, lifting materials and operating machinery

- Reliability and punctuality with a positive attitude towards work

- Relevant certifications or qualifications in machinery operation or manufacturing are advantageous
