Mandatory qualifications and conditions: The following are mandatory requirements needed to receive appropriate delegations and perform the accountabilities of this position:
- Pass a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) check that includes a criminal history check.
- Hold a valid Queensland C class driver licence.
- Hold a current first aid certificate or have the ability to obtain one.
- Hold a Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal certificate of competency or higher.
- Hold a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or have the ability to obtain one within six months of commencement.
