We are currently recruiting for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter to work for our client based in Kurri Kurri.

Duties will include:

- Repairing underground mining equipment such as boggers (LHD’s / Load Haul dump machines), underground trucks, jumbo drills & bolters, long-hole drills & auxiliaries
- Diagnosing mechanical problems – Finding & fixing faults with diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes differentials, brakes, steering systems and hydraulic components
- Component change outs & overhauls – replace or rebuild worn engines, transmissions, torque converters, differentials, steering cylinders & pumps
- Servicing & preventative maintenance – changing oils & filters, checking fluid levels, inspecting components,



replacing worn parts & completing scheduled services
- Testing machinery and recording repairs before returning it to service

Position requirements:

- Cert III in engineering (mechanical trade)
- Previous experience working on diesel underground mining equipment
- A commitment and high regard for safety in the workplace

The position is day shift & works on a Monday to Friday roster - 38 hours per week plus overtime. Flexibility with hours of work allows for the choice of 4 x 10-hour shifts (1 day off a week) or 5 x 8-hour shifts + overtime Ordinary time pay rate is $69/h To apply for this prospect please click the apply link to upload your resume
