Love motorcycles, outdoor power equipment and working with leading brands? Build your skills with factory training and a workshop that offers something different every day.

Barry Francis Motorcycles is a family-owned dealership that has been part of Hamilton since 1961. We’re looking for a qualified mechanic who takes pride in their work and wants to keep learning as new models and technology arrive.

With brands including Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki, you’ll work across motorcycles, ATVs and side-by-sides—from servicing customers’ trusted machines to diagnosing and preparing the latest models.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work with leading outdoor power equipment brands, including STIHL, Husqvarna and Cox, servicing and repairing a range of products used by homeowners, contractors, farmers and commercial operators.

Why join Barry Francis?

● Factory training and ongoing development to build your knowledge and technical skills.

● Exposure to leading brands, new models and the latest technology.

● Variety in your working day, with motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, side-by-sides and outdoor power equipment.

● Experience across multiple product categories, including STIHL, Husqvarna and Cox equipment.

● A long-established family business where your contribution matters.

● A regional lifestyle in Hamilton, with room to enjoy life outside the workshop.

The role

You’ll carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs, prepare new machines and equipment for delivery,

and complete warranty work to manufacturer standards.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, works well with others and understands that a quality repair means a customer can get back to work—or back to doing what they love.

Your duties will include

● Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.

● Servicing and repairing motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and outdoor power equipment.

● Working across brands including Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, STIHL, Husqvarna and Cox.

● Completing pre-delivery inspections and fitting accessories.

● Recording work clearly on job cards.

● Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workspace.

● Taking part in factory training and keeping up with new products and technology.

About you

You’re a qualified motorcycle mechanic, small-engine mechanic or a qualified mechanic from a related trade with skills that could transfer to our workshop.

Experience with motorcycles, outdoor power equipment, small engines or agricultural machinery would be highly regarded. We’re also open to someone with the right mechanical foundation, attitude and willingness to learn.

You bring attention to detail, a reliable approach and a willingness to learn. Above all, you take pride in getting the job done properly.
