As we grow our operations across Adelaide, we are seeking experienced Painting Trade Workers to join our team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Painting Trade Worker to join our team on a full-time basis, based in Adelaide, South Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, varnishes and other finishes, and carrying out a full range of painting and decorating work across residential and commercial sites.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Erect scaffolding and ladders and place drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering

- Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces

- Select and prepare paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil,



and thinning and drying additives

- Apply paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray equipment

- Hang wallpaper, match patterns and trim edges to a neat, skilled finish

- Clean equipment and maintain work areas to a safe and tidy standard throughout the job

- Repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames as required

- Lay and repair wall and floor tiles as required

- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes to protect, maintain and decorate surfaces of buildings and structures

Required qualifications & skills

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in relevant field

- Minimum 1 year of work experience of working with both residential and commercial sites

- Demonstrated experience as a Painting Trade Worker, Experience with wallpaper hanging and tiling

- Familiarity with colour matching and paint mixing systems

- Proficiency in preparation, brush, roller and spray application techniques

- Knowledge of OH&S; requirements and safe work practices

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's licence as job location will be as per project site location.
