About the role

Coordinate the purchasing, storage and supply of parts, equipment and consumables for trucks, trailers and associated equipment across workshop and site operations. Ensure parts are sourced accurately, delivered promptly and recorded correctly to minimise downtime and control costs.

Key responsibilities

- Identify and source parts in consultation with mechanics, supervisors and suppliers, using vehicle details, part numbers and supplier catalogues.
- Confirm compatibility, availability and delivery timeframes, compare quotations and raise purchase orders within approved purchasing limits.
- Follow up outstanding orders and coordinate freight and deliveries, including urgent breakdown requirements.
- Receive, inspect, label and store incoming parts, resolving incorrect, damaged or incomplete deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor critical spares and consumables, and arrange replenishment.
- Issue parts against workshop requirements and allocate purchases and stock movements to the correct company, equipment or job.
- Check purchasing documentation and assist with invoice discrepancies, returns, warranty claims and supplier credits.
- Communicate order progress, shortages and delivery delays to the Workshop Administrator and relevant personnel.




- Accurately record and submit hours worked, allocating time to D&B;, KTE and relevant jobs or activities as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and secure storeroom and follow safe work practices.

About you

- Previous experience in parts, stores, purchasing or warehousing, preferably within the transport, heavy vehicle or mechanical maintenance industry.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organisational skills.
- Positive communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and workshop personnel.
- Confidence using purchasing and inventory systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to urgent workshop requirements.
- A reliable, practical approach and commitment to workplace safety.
- Knowledge of truck and trailer components (desirable).
- Experience using electronic parts catalogues and supplier ordering portals (desirable).
- Experience managing critical spare parts and supporting scheduled maintenance (desirable).
- Current forklift licence (desirable).

About us D&B; Transport Works is located in Maddington, Western Australia, and provides transport and mechanical maintenance services, with support extended to KTE Mining Services as required.
