About the Role

As a Post Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will support our engineering and project teams across a range of industrial projects. You’ll contribute to technical design, project coordination and delivery activities while developing your practical engineering knowledge and qualified capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with mechanical engineering design, calculations and technical documentation.
- Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Supporting project planning, scheduling and coordination activities.
- Assisting with procurement, material take-offs and technical evaluations of equipment and materials.
- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and internal project teams.
- Supporting site activities, inspections, installation and commissioning.
- Monitoring project progress and assisting with quality and compliance requirements.
- Responding to technical queries and helping develop practical engineering solutions.
- Maintaining accurate project records, reports and engineering documentation.
- Working in accordance with IPT’s safety, quality and environmental requirements.

About You We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and eager to learn, with a practical approach to engineering and a genuine interest in industrial projects.

Ideally, you will have:

- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering,



with postgraduate studies viewed favourably.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and project delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with relevant engineering or design software.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A current Australian driver licence.
- Full working rights in Australia.
