Product Development Chemist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the full lifecycle of chemistry product development — from research and testing through to analysis, documentation, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

About The Role The primary objective of this role is to actively participate in all stages of chemistry product development. This includes performing testing, conducting research activities, and documenting results in compliance with QMS/regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and design experiments to improve or develop chemical products.
- Provide technical input to identify problem sources and design current approaches.
- Conduct laboratory tests, analyse results, and draw sound conclusions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop prototype systems.




- Present experimental results to wider groups and management.
- Design and validate test protocols and standard test methods.
- Provide chemistry-related advice to internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve reproducibility, precision, and accuracy of tests.
- Ensure laboratory housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and safe waste management.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with QMS policies.

What You’ll Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Previous hands-on chemistry laboratory experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Industrial chemistry experience and familiarity with Quality Management Systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with effective planning and organisational skills.
