SunPork is seeking a Production Manager to lead a large-scale pig farming operation in South Australia. This critical leadership role is responsible for driving production performance across all stages of production while ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, safety and team engagement.

Working closely with specialist teams across veterinary services, nutrition, genetics and operations, you will lead farm performance, develop a strong leadership team and drive continuous improvement to deliver outstanding operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop Section Managers and farm teams to achieve production targets.
- Drive performance across breeding, farrowing, weaner and grower operations.




- Champion animal welfare, herd health and biosecurity standards.
- Manage site budgets, labour planning and operational performance.
- Oversee farm infrastructure, maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental and industry requirements.
- Foster a robust safety culture and promote safe work practices across the site.
- Analyse production data and implement improvement opportunities to optimise results.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Extensive experience in commercial pig production or intensive livestock operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing leaders and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of animal welfare, biosecurity and production systems.
- Experience managing budgets, labour and operational performance.
- Data-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Current driver's licence.
