We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Repair Technician to join our Production Department. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing production faults on our printed circuit boards (PCBs), helping recent designs flow smoothly into main sequence production, and continuously improving our processes, equipment and quality.

About the Role

- Diagnose and repair production faults on surface mount PCBs, including incorrect loading, incorrect placement, soldering defects and fibreglass issues
- Isolate faults from their symptoms using schematics, test systems and the device under test
- Load, update and test firmware on units
- Record and document faults, repairs and repair times in line with procedures




- Report on faults to the QC Officer and Production Engineer within requested timeframes
- Support the smooth introduction of new designs into main sequence production
- Keep product quality front of mind and contribute to continuous improvement of our processes and equipment

About You

- Certificate III in Electronics, or equivalent experience in electronic and electromechanical repairs
- J-STD-001 certification
- Strong rework skills
- Experience in visual inspection of surface mount boards for production faults (solder balls, bad joints, poor component alignment etc.)
- Ability to read schematics to pinpoint likely failure locations from symptoms
- Understanding of industry safety standards and quality requirements
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite and Confluence is an advantage
- Self-motivated, adaptable team player with strong communication skills
