Job title: Project Manager | 8 Month Fixed Term | Up to $180K + Super Pro Rata

Lead product and engineering projects for an established WA manufacturer. 8 month parental leave cover, November start, eastern suburbs.

Our client is a well established Perth business that designs and manufactures its own products for Australian and international markets. They need an experienced Project Manager to cover a period of parental leave, starting in November and running for approximately 8 months. There is a handover period at each end, with the possibility of an extension if leave dates change.

This is a fixed term employment contract. It is not a contractor engagement.

The role

Reporting to the head of the product function, you’ll own a portfolio of concurrent product and engineering projects from initiation through to delivery. You will:

1. Plan, schedule and manage resources across multiple projects at once
2. Coordinate engineering, supply chain, suppliers and outsourced manufacturers
3. Track milestones and report monthly to the executive team
4. Raise risks early and drive practical solutions
5. Make sure projects meet safety, quality and regulatory standards, including closing out audit actions

Use AI tools to streamline reporting, documentation and risk tracking

About you

1. A proven record of managing multiple concurrent projects end to end in project management, engineering or PMO roles
2. A degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
3. Solid scheduling, resource allocation and progress reporting skills
4. Confidence managing suppliers and manufacturers, and presenting to executives
5. Comfortable using AI tools in your day to day work
6. Available to start in November
7. A current WA driver’s licence

Well regarded

Experience in manufacturing, electronics or product development, Jira or Proggio, audit corrective actions, and PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
